Weddings
We want to get married at St James’s, but are not sure whether we are able to legally. Can you help?

The short answer is yes. The first thing you need to do if you’re interested in getting married here is to give the Parish Secretary a call on 020 7734 4511. She can book you an appointment with the Rector or other priest where you can discuss the possibility of getting married here, and whether it is legal for you to do so under the current laws relating to marriage. You will also be able to discuss the date and time of your wedding.

How much will it cost us to get married at SJP?

  • The fees for getting married here are as follows:
    Publication of Banns £22.00
    Marriage Service £247.00
    Marriage Certificate £3.50 (until 1/4/2008)
    Verger £43.00
    Heating / Lighting £69.00
    Total £384.50

What is the cost of a funeral in church?

Memorial Services
I’d like to hold a memorial service for someone at SJP - how do I go about arranging it?

Please call the Parish Secretary to arrange an appointment to talk to the Rector or another member of the clergy team about holding the memorial service here.
